San Franscisco Day 2 23 Dec 07

Woke up to a yummy breakfast, miso soup w egg all thanx to O Tiger. Finally got the chance to admire my humble home for the next 10 days, quite cosy n sweet place in a beautiful neighbourhood!

A few facts learnt about San Francisco today:
1. It is the oni city in US tt the Chinese population outnumbered all other ethnic grps.
2. It has the largest gay community in the world.
3. It has an extremely liberal n tolerant society.

Started the day by takin BART (subway) to downtown San Frans and bought a 7-day Muni pass. This pass allows us to travel ard town in all Muni vehicles including cable cars. Muni vehicles comes in many different colours + shapes + sizes...

1st stop: Peet's Coffee + Tea to get our kopi-of-e-day. The kopi of West Coast taste different from NH (New Hampshire), it's thicker n has a stronger aroma. However, it's still not as strong as the kopi O kao kao tt I drink in Sg... The fruit tart taste fantastic, Uncle Tiger says he is tryin to bake some back in Chicago... hopefully I get to eat the successful bakes when I go Chicago to visit him next yr ohohoho.

2nd stop: Fuzio Universal Pasta. We ordered a fuzio firecracker pork fusili n barbwire chicken. The former is ultimate liao, the pork taste like soysauce braised pork. The angmoh sourcream, Italian pasta, Mexican jalapeno n of course Chinese style pork, created an overall perfect fusion dish!!! This makanplace is located in the gay district, reali da kai yan jian... this is not known as the largest gay community for nothin one hor!

3rd stop: Joseph Schmidt Confections to buy my fav addiction: COCO! So many different kinds, all so delicious lookin n I ended up buyin a few to satisfy my taste buds heehee...

4th stop: Fisherman's wharf to c the seals. But too bad it's dark n I can't reali c anything haizzz, think have to go n bio them another day liao... Walked to Ghirardelli Sq but the shops oso close liao so sianzzzz

5th stop: Nirvana Restaurant to makan dinner... BBQ prawn w rice, another yummy fusion meal!
