Cave of the Winds 05 Jul 08

Last day of holiday, time flies while we r having fun... Cave of the Winds is our last destination b4 we head for Colorado Springs airport. Although having the same name, the experience in this cave is definitely different from the one at Niagara Falls...
Political candy sold at the gift shop, looks so adorable n creative :P

After the short wait, we finally entered the cave... it's quite cold in there despite the bright sun outside. The stalactites (hanging from the ceiling) and stalagmites (rising from the ground) had to be illuminated by lights in order for visitors to see its real beauty...
This looks like a humongous pile of caramel popcorns...

This chunk of dead stalactite is all thanx to past visitors tt anyohow touch the cave exhibits, causing a layer of human oil to be left on its surface n thus preventing its further growth...

1st trip into a cave, gained alot of knowledge n it's quite fun too! Especially the fact tt the angmohs hav to squeeze through the narrow n low interior of the cave while I can go thru the passageways at ease... As wat the guide says "Fat man's misery, tall man's despair", being short has its advantageous too muahahahahaa!!

This marks the finale of my Utah + Colorado vacation, back to work in the ulu ulu New Hampshire...
